Visiting La Mancha

We recently had the opportunity to travel to Campo de Criptana in Spain to conduct a media familiarization tour for a client of ours.  Campo de Criptana is in the heart of La Mancha, which of course is the land of Don Quixote.  There are 10 windmills still left in Campo, and it is said that Cervantes traveled extensively in the area.  One of the mills is still used on the last Sunday of every month, which is pretty amazing given that they are older than the United States!   Needless to say, we received many questions about the name of our company and the story behind it.

Reminds me of a favorite quote from the book: “Destiny, when one door is shut, always leaves another open.”

Perhaps it was a bit of destiny to be able to travel to the heart of La Mancha.

Tom Bodett used to say, “We’ll leave the light on.” (Yes, an obscure Motel 6 reference.)

Around here, we’ll leave the door open…
